7 CLASSES (NO CLASS 12/24) Isshin-Ryu karate is an Okinawan Martial art that encompasses many attributes but holds true to the martial way. Its focus is on self-defense and personal growth rather than sport or recreation. Techniques are delivered from natural stances as opposed to wide locked positions, which makes it unique to most styles. We teach close quarters techniques, kata, ground fighting, quick escapes, and weapons. We participate in tournaments and offer sparring each night in class with the appropriate gear. This helps practitioner’s hone their skills within the Dojo alongside other Karate-ka. This Dojo emphasizes discipline and high moral character in conjunction with fighting spirit. Remember, Karate begins and ends with respect.
